First had this in March and it was wonderful. Sharp barrel+ booze + chocolate. 9 months later: a watered-down brew that hasn't aged well.

Fuuuuccck. I’m drunk.! Do prefer the regular ww. But hey, this has its place and it deserves to be shared. I’m glad the world exists with this beer

This is an enjoyable fruity stout. It has a decent deep, but not heavy, body and an interesting malty/fermented fruit, prune and plum, dominate, flavor with hints of roastiness and wood to it. While It’s a very interesting, it‘s a bit too fruity for me.

Nose was barrel and umami; on the palate umami and some pleasant barrel character upfront but soy sauce like, very malty and kinda underwhelming past middle; no sign of booze for 17.3% but the absence of flavors for such a big beer is equally astounding.

Good. Nice BA stout, good aroma. Can’t tell the 16% ABV, no hot alcohol burn. $40/4 pack. (Watching Michigan v. Nebraska)

Bottle from the Packie. Inky black in color without much of a head. Chocolate roast hint of burnt sugar, straight up ethanol with some fruit port notes and light oak tannin. A sipper for sure. Decent but needs time for the flavors to meld.

Look at me. Drinking a stout. On purpose. Of my own volition.

It’s good not my favorite tonight but it’s a clean stout.

Definitely boozy. A little too sweet for me this time, but maybe I just shouldn’t have paired it with sushi.

LC Sunday - Having previously been a fan of this stout - especially with several years on it - I was excited to try this. And sure enough, the qualities I appreciated about this then are still there - prominent plum, molasses, cacao; plus a solid body...

LC Sunday Funday. This was decadent, in a good way. 4.15.

Late checkin from earlier tonight. Tasty and smooth. The port like feel of utopias is only really present on the finish, though the usual WWS bitterness is thankfully missing.

It's exactly what I would expect. Little boozy. Classic WWS chocolately goodness

🐳 status, but you have to have a broad palate to appreciate it. Very limited booze for 17+%, some oak, some stout, some mouth coating, but somehow not heavy. Definitely has body but I've had big stouts that overwhelm you with their body. Enjoyable

Not exactly a stout anymore. It’s somewhere in between a stout and a Barleywine. There’s sherry, brandy, port , vanilla and wood on top of classic, roasted, chocolate and coffee-like stout flavors and aromas. Much smoother than it was back in April.

I haven’t been able to locate my original review but I remember my numeric rating. I actually forgot I had this and was looking for it the other night! We went through it quickly because it was a smaller bottle split two ways. Slightly boozy, darkly malty
