It’s good but not as good as it should be, may have sat on it a bit too long and it’s in the decline. So it goes.

Sadly past it’s prime and doesn’t have those butterscotch and black licorice notes I was hoping for. Inoffensive nose and a little figgy but otherwise mineraly and just falls flat. Next time I’ll age just a year or two.

Hasn’t aged well. Wasn’t spectacular to begin with. Heavy on the crystal malt

Wasn’t the biggest fan of this - very boozy, malty, has a bitter finish. Tastes like a very old bottle - curious how a 10+ year old bottle might be. This was like a hybrid of a barleywine and a strong Belgian quad

Still boozy in a good way. Has lost some sweetness I imagine because not as sweet as other barleywines I've had.

I've been holding onto this since 2017 and figured it was finally time to open it up. It was way too hot back when I first had it and there is still a bit of heat but it has definitely mellowed. Could honestly have sat longer lol.

Post-ride/run/ride beer (left phone at home when I rushed to the beach, which changed my plans to hang there for the day — didn’t even swim). How often will I be in the mood for a 15% barleywine that plays-up the dried fruit? Who knows, but I have 3 more.

Fantastic. big on molasses now, getting some cocoa/coffee as well that I don't recall fresh. Light bitterness/spicy alcohol. Mild increasing booze. This might be peaking now. Better than i reviewed in 2014. Very clean sipper. Medium body. Not too sweet

Shower beer 1/16/21, born 12/17/16... potent boozy dark fruit, all fig and date... a longtime favorite, are they even making this any more?

Well aged with lots of hoppy aroma up front. Tasty with some deep richness and malt, hops still apparent, a touch of bitterness.

This is a barley wine that would put hair on your chest. After four years in the cellar it is one smooth hombre. Kooringal Loosely means by the shore, and the name of the company that made my Wool cap in Australia. Both are smooth high-quality performers.

Wow. Glad I sat on this for so long. Barrel but not as firey boozy as it once was. Smells like straight up apple cider. So smooth now. Hint of sweetness but you have to look for it. This is a mama drink right here boys.
