This one has aged very well. Thick, rich and way less boozy now. Yum.

Funky dark fruit nose, honey sweet and bitter, malty, Barleywinesque, syrupy warm hints of chocolate and cherry, sour is more in nose, cherries finish the palate

Another cellar pull for my birthday week. Little green these days. Alcohol heat has mellowed a lot. Chocolate and cherry still prevalent. Aged pretty good

Nice fruit/chocolate combo. Mixed flavor following that.

Very unique indeed. Not sure if cellaring this for 5 years was the right call it not, it was a little syrupy for me, but the booziness was mellowed

Today qualifies as an occasion special enough for this 5-year-old bottle of awesome.

Big sweetness up front, some acidic fruit in the middle, and expected warmth to n the back end. Smooth and complex, a nice sipper considering the firepower behind it, but not exactly my cup o tea

This 5-year old beer has come up in conversation twice in the last few weeks. So I had to grab one from the cellar. Boozy and lost some of its edges.

5 years aged and this beer has FINALLY mellowed into something delicious and smooth. 17% and tastes like a cocoa cherry kriek.

When you decide to clean out the fridge and reduce the stockpile. You open the savoured and aged Higher Math. Boozy and delicious!

Has it really been 5 years? Just beginning to thicken into molten cherry cake, like a Nazi superweapon developed in some salt mine tunnel; chest hair thickening, kvass inspiring, old friend of the forest.

5 years on this. 5 years on my marriage. Weird time to reflect. I have a one-ish year old. I bought a beach house yesterday. Wtf. Sour cherry has taken over. This beer is fucking weird. Chocolate now the background

I’m way into this but I couldn’t finish a whole bottle myself

Aged very well. Definite sherry notes, but the cake flavors came out without overpowering. I bought this on a 40th birthday trip and opened it for my 45th birthday.

Way sweet and boozy not my cup of tea thanks rick glad I finally got to try it

Aged very well, 17% abv is hidden well, sweet like a barleywine but doesn’t have any burn. This would be awesome to sip on during winters with some Christmas cookies

We made a tart for dessert so I'm drinking my cake instead.

Aged well. Developed complex flavors of chocolate, cherry, molasses, assertive sweetness that dissipates quickly but a nice warming finish.

What a great nerd brew. So much going on here. Sweet and full bodied. It is basically a 120 IPA with chocolate and cherry juice added. Only problem I have is that I wish I would have bought more!

It's very boozy. At 17% abv I'm not surprised. Can definitely taste the cherries and chocolate. The booziness is a bit overwhelming though. Remembering 19 years after 9/11 and 20 years after my Dad passing. Twoje zdrowie (cheers in Polish)

10/20/2015. Huge cherry nose, massive cherry brandy taste, massive warm finish, all DOGFISH HEAD.

SO GOOD. Strong, rich flavor. Definitely tastes like a boozy chocolate cherry cake.

Typical dogfish. Still super boozy! Flavors are better than when I tried it last but geez.

Saving a bottle of 2015 to enjoy on the deck during our last day in CO. A winner.

picked up some odd bitterness in the five years in my basement. Its drinkable but i liked it more two years ago when I last had.

Forgot I had one of these in the cellar. Gosh darn amazing still after 5 years. No bubbles but the flavors were on point. (Had it this past week, not this morning.)
