Sweet Belgian fruit and spice with mild cocoa notes. Finishes with sticky cherry sweetness and surprisingly smooth finish. Bottled 10/20/2015. Booziness is more subdued than when fresh. Sweetness is still prominent but less syrupy.

Seemed a good option for unique beer #2000 on New Year's Eve! The cherry sour notes are prominent and the chocolate is a good compliment. This is a strong beer for sure, and it is a bit boozy. But delicious and well aged!

Wow! Have been aging this since it came out. Amazing complexity of cherry, dark chocolate and raisin. Sweet. Not tart.

Drank last night. Much better than when it was fresh, but still not that great IMO. Almost drinks like a brandy now.

Someone dragged one of these out. Way better than fresh but doesn’t mean it’s good.

Slightly chalky but those sour cherry notes are still very present atop a chocolate backdrop. Alcohol heat, minimal bubbles, but drinking great. We just don't see these kind of beers from DFH any more

This beer DEFINITELY aged well. Subtle chocolate with a nice cherry flavor that isn’t sour anymore (as described). Cheers to earning my National Board Certification!

10/20/2015. Sometimes, one must, because he can. This beast still warms the throat with a sea of less medicinal Ludens cherry. Thick, semi sweet bold. Impressive brew from the OG of masterfully over-the-top brewing.

Surprisingly true to label for being 8 years old. Good cherry tartness, with a bitter chocolate note. Thank you Brian A.

Initial smell was cherry cordial. Taste was a bit oxidized. Has a lot of chocolate going on, but overall not a pleasent experience.

Red-brown and opaque. Nose is tart (almost sour) cherry. Chocolate is in the background, but clearly present. Rich, fruity, and a little warming.
