Bottled 6/15/2017. Boozy nose, prominent vanilla, and roasty. Smooth finish and not boozey. Finally enjoyed this gift after aging 3 years in the fridge. At 16% ABV, I’m surprised only the label fell off. Wayne 😍

Bottled 6/15/2017 and aged 3-years until the label fell off so decided it was time to consume this brew!! Amazing smoothness for the high ABV. Boozy nose, smooth dark chocolate notes upfront; oak undertones. I hope I have another one in the cellar!!

Unsurprisingly, this was fantastic. Really smooth considering the ABV. A lot of depth and wonderful vanilla notes.

Lots of chocolate and char. Very smooth and a touch of vanilla.

FLN... Nearly perfect from the Cask Man cave catacombs

Like a liquified Riesen. Subtle oak, but not-so-subtle vanilla that dominates the nose and sweet chocolate finish.

Surprisingly, I like the original better! The vanilla is kind of subtle to me and it just doesn’t drink quite as smoothly, even though it has a lower ABV

Vanilla and mouthfeel has fallen off a bit, but still delicious

Not sure I‘ve ever smelled more dark chocolate in a beer. Still really good but for 15-17% it hides the booze so well it gets a little bump up.

When your cellar reminder calendar says it's time to drink a beer, you oblige. Purchased a month after I met Emily W., which is crazy. Beer got thin and somehow more boozey. Dark, bitter chocolate? Oak is subdued. Finishes hot.

Pretty good! Definite improvement on the original, not with that characteristic WWS savory note

Still getting that weird vanilla taste. Idk. Not the best.

Good for 16%. Not a lot of Vanilla, but my bottle was 3.5 years old.

Great beer - this Crowler was bought about 3 yrs ago - still fully carbonated! Needed to be in a group large enough so that we could share the load!! Great beer, lingering notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla!!

Would be better with more body, really thin as it is. Aged well though.

Yesterday. Boozy but still pretty smooth. May have lost some vanilla but still has some. Really nice thinner chocolate stout. Quite a tasty sipper.

Deep, rich and complex. Hits roasty and bitter at first with some smoke coming through immediately after. Vanilla is present throughout and it finishes with chocolate and coffee. Tasting fantastic rn.

Lost the vanilla which made it a little boozier, but still really good. Thanks Joe.

Vintage 2017. Fairly thin, boozy, and dry. Getting dark cherries, dark chocolate, oak, smokey, feint vanilla. Vanilla has faded w/time, but the barrel has prospered. Layered and complex. Well done.

Vanilla, woody and barrel. #depressingoktoberfest

Bottled 6/15/2017. Pairing with tiramisu. Oak/woody flavor dominates upfront giving way to vanilla and dark chocolate with a hint of 16% heat on the back side.

Almost forget about this guy. Sweeter than expected with a light body. Exceptionally smooth with a hint of chocolate and easy to drink as 16% can possible be. Lovely.

I’d normally list the bottling date, but it’s been lost to history ☹️

Better than I expected. As it warmed, vanilla smoothness and surprisingly no heat.
