Lambic - Gueuze

The lambic in foeder no. 31 aged for four and a half years before it became this Oude Geuze. It’s typified by its fine carbonation and pleasant cognac-like nose. The fluent and mellow but strong aroma with hints of apricots and walnuts is supported by a clear oak character. Brewed on 30 November 2015, bottled on 14 May 2020.

Looks much better than first time. Nice and clear. Noticeable VA on nose initially. Becomes softer, earthy, wet oak. Soft acidity on palate. Very nutty. Plenty of wood. Better than previous but still a bit underwhelming.

Waaahouu les saveurs explosent dans la bouche, il y a un goût prononcé de vin blanc sec, en arrière bouche le cognac et des notes boisée de chêne. C'est pas ma préférée des vat,mais ça vaut le détour !il serait intéressant de la faire vieillir...
