Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 92 Mono Blend Perkins
Bottled in Dec 2016. Delightful lambic. Oak forward, mild acidity, a touch of lemon and still perfectly carbonated. Now that I cracked a bottle from my last set, I look forward to tasting the other barrels.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2020) Perkins
Pre turkey loon. Beautiful balance between the cherry and funky Cantillon magic.

Pregame beers prior to the DMB concert. 8 year old classic is always a winner.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2020) Perkins
Scored a few bottles at a grocery store of all places. Cracked one and it's a little fresh for my taste. Really tart with heavy raspberry and a touch acetic. Going to let the other bottles sit for a few years.

Rosé de Gambrinus (2021) Perkins
Pretty tart and heavy raspberry. The other bottles will probably sit for a few years before I crack another.

One of my favorite fruited lambics. The fruit is so well integrated with the magical base beer. Glad I opened this one somewhat fresh.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2 Perkins
Continuing the weekend theme of cellar diving a 2106 Boon black label. Light funk and a nice mineral quality. Not the most complex gueuze but still delicious.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Perkins
Not nearly as sharp and boozy as I was expected considering it is a fresh bottle. Good stuff.

Delicious as always. The fruit mellowed a bit but was still front and center. Nice funky nose. Great beer.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 108 Mono Blend Perkins
Cracked open 108 right after finishing 110. 108 is really good. I had 108 a few years ago and was really impressed and age has treated this one well. Funky green apples and a nice rounded acidity.

Oude Geuze Boon à l'Ancienne - VAT 110 Mono Blend Perkins
Love the concept behind the vat box. I picked up a few boxes and will do a deeper dive with the next box but 110 was a solid beer. Big brett funk, a faint hint of vanilla, a touch of acetic acid and a dry finish.

The monster of the night. Side by side with a 2017 and the 05 was incredible. I have only handed out a few 5s in the time I have been on untappd and this is one. Phenomenal beer.

One of my favorite beers of all time and it is always a treat when someone cracks a bottle. This one came off a touch sharp when drank alongside a 16-year-old bottle.

Oude Geuze Boon (2014-2015) Perkins
Having this side by side with a 3F the nose on the boon was more mineraly and funky (the boon was 1 year older than the 3f) and the taste was a bit sharper and less complex than the 3f. Both were delicious.

Such a great beer. Toned down acidity with layers of funk.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2014) Perkins
I normally lean towards non fruited lambic but this beer was fantastic. Deep berry flavor without the sweetness. Big funky musty base beer shines through and melds with the fruit very well.
