Classic Gueuze (2013)

No pop to the cork but big aromas upon opening. Soft carbonation. Smell is huge with oak and funk. Soft mouth feel. Oak is the biggest note here, followed by orange peel citrus and bitterness. I don't think it would have held up much longer.

Late check in. Balanced, soft carb. Subtle merlot with the lambic notes really shining through.

Oude Geuze Boon A L’Ancienne (2009-2010)

Very soft. Oaky depth. Not sour at all. A fun pull from da cella.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°3

I think something is wrong with this bottle. An ok carb but the taste is bitter cardboard.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°3

Shotgun pop like blend 1. High carb, big copper note, medium oak flavor.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2

Lighter carb and mouth feel than the first edition. Much lighter oak and green apple notes all around as well. Lacking much complexity compared to #1.

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label

Cork shotgun blasted out but only lost a couple ounces. Deep funky oak aroma. Tasting great right now. High carb, green apple, dusty oak.

Oude Geuze Boon (2015-2016)

Back to the real thing. Good carb. More on the sweet/savory saline side. A great bottle.
