Last check in was six years ago. Nose is fantastic with big juicy cherries and vanilla. Flavor doesn’t follow through quite as fully, but still delicious.

Possible cork taint at first glance, but not the case luckily. Still a bit mellow cherry flavor with sourness and funk taking a bigger place.

Ciliegia assopita, alcol che emerge soprattutto nella bevuta. Acidità spinta, citrico importante, persistenza medio/lunga. Speziato/pepato in background, marmellatina di ciliegie morbida.

La cerise est un peu moins goûteuse avec le vieillissement, mais le funk s'est développé. Bien poussiéreuse et fromagée. Acidité moyenne, citronnée. Boisée, sèche.

22-Feb-'16, 37cl. Ripe cherry on the nose with very subtle funk and some almond. In the mouth, everything seemed vapid. Fruit was faded, no noyaux, watery mouth feel and finished quick. Weird dark brown cork, too.

Bottled: 22 February 2016. 🍒- lovely and such a rarity to have the chance to drink Cantillon at home.
