Some interesting barnyard and damp basement funk, but the ill-effects of time are starting to take hold. Lots of sweet green apple and cardboard-like oxidative notes creeping in. While carbonation was still on point, this did not make its 2030 best-by day

LCI. This vintage is the best. Still. Thanks Secret (Drew) S.

LCI. Still not my favorite Lam batch...quite tannic...but I am nit-picking.

LCI. Some thought this was too acidic, I thought it was lovely. To each their own.

Lots of grape skin in this batch (not sure 2022, but that's what everyone is tagging the batch served at zwanze). This pour at Delaware Supply is less peppery (probably because the keg has had time to settle a little more) than at Monks.

(Backlog Nov 2021). Always been a bit rough around the edges.

Cantillon 100% Lambic Bio (4/15/2020 - 50% 4-Year Lambic)
(LDW Share). Solid. Oak forward.

Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio (2019) (+25% 4 Year Lambic)
(LDW Share) I like that the barrel notes are present without overpowering. Assertive oak, classic gueuze notes, some citrus and orchard fruit, light funk, and a little fortified spirit fruitiness. 50N-light. Nearly still after the initial bubbles fade.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2012)
Another lovely aged CSG. Maybe not as bright as the 2014 we opened a few weeks back, but there are nice orchard fruit and citrus highlights to go along dusty oak and cedar notes in the background. Wet gravel and petrichor. (Aug 20 Share)

LCI. Perfect companion to 1993 Gueuze. Mellowing cherry flavor after 25 years in the bottle. A pleasant burst of tartness, some oak, minimal oxidative notes, leather, and Cantillon funk. Cork held up well, with a nice fill level, some gunk under ...

Near perfect. Stunning bottle from the golden era (1995-2005) of Cantillon, in my opinion. It has maintained a ton of bright stone fruit and citrus quality...so much so that I would blame you for thinking this was a bottle of Fou Foune.

Nice, but not my favorite vintage of Lam. A bit tannic but also just a touch thin.

Funky. Orange natty wine in the nose. Super citrus-forward lambic flavor. A bit weird, but I can dig on it.

The best Cantillon gueuze in a long time. Subtle cognac in the blend.
