V Generations

Lambic - Gueuze

V Generations is a celebration of Belgian brewing passion that spans generations and continents. For blending day, two families came together, contributing their collective expertise and energy to the brew: From Belgium, Brasserie Cantillon’s Jean-Pierre Van Roy (who took a day off from retirement to lend his decades of experience), alongside his son Jean Van Roy and grandson Florian Van Roy; and from Philadelphia, Monk’s Cafe’s Tom Peters, side by side with his daughter Isabel Thomas-Peters. The result, a blend of four-year, three-year and two-year aged barrels, is the fruit of a long friendship, and a toast to generations to come.

Tastes exclusive, and amazing. Much less acidic and carbonated than I expected going in. The flavors definitely come out more when it warms up.

Surprisingly light for how much flavor it has. Tart and spelt, pretty much a perfect beer

Revising up. Whether it's a matter of it being in a bottle or slightly less cold, this is noticeably better than it was on draft

Minerally, lemon, a good depth of flavor. Showing really nicely for only 1.5 years in the bottle. 🐳

Lovely. A little mineral character and a decent bit of citrus but it’s just a soft, delicious bottle that I really want to revisit in a couple years.

When in Rome, it’s slightly better out of the bottle, but really looking forward to what this beer will become in 5-10 years

MY FIRST CANTILLON!!! 2022 with 4, 3, and 2 year old lambics. Some funk but not as wild as I expected. Also not as sharp as I’d anticipated. Almost cider-y or wine-ish (like a green/white) but super easy to drink. Beyond stoked to have tried this. 10/10
