I didn’t care for this in 2018 and it’s stunning now. Soft, juicy grape, not overly sour. Good choice for doming a bottle with Liz tonight.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2021) shaver
Unlabeled bottle from Jean, I think I have this right

Tremendous. Miles ahead of the other bottle yesterday, which in itself is a ridiculous comment.

Lovely. A little mineral character and a decent bit of citrus but it’s just a soft, delicious bottle that I really want to revisit in a couple years.

7 oct. I’ve had a couple of these now and I think this bottling is just meh. It’s good, but the bright juicy wine character of some of my fav vigs isn’t there. If you like very soft bottlings of this you’ll like this one tho.

Scarabée (17 January 2022) shaver
Black peppercorn on the tongue and floral aroma. Really interesting bottle, way different than the one I had last year. Different bottle date maybe?

Maybe the best bottle of fou ive ever had. Divine. Still huge apricot and lively carbonation. Black mold on the cork = good bottle. Always.

Way more subtle than I expected. Really nice and approachable and I expected to be punched in the face.

I like this a lot better than the yellow label camerise bottle I had a little while back.

In a weird spot? It’s developing some acidity which is nice but it still has that fresh grape quality that I don’t like (I prefer 2-4 years on these I guess?). Almost no funk at all. Gonna lay the rest of these down for at least a year and see

Welcome to the world, kiddo. Elliott Nolan Deeter. 12/15/22. And no, I didn’t give him any ;)

Really acidic/tart bottle. First sip felt bright and then subsequent sips were…less bright ;)

Super floral. I can see how people wouldn’t like it but I do like it a lot

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2015) shaver
One of the best bottles of lambic I can remember having.

Definitively cantillon. Lightly peppery in a good way, much oakier than the 3F OGV. Holding up so well though—always a treat to try these things.

My favorite beer of the weekend, and this is probably the best bottle of the three. I need to get a few of these for the cellar. This and Scarabee are really amazing.

One of my top 3-5 beers of the weekend. This is excellent. I’m struggling to find all the flavors and will need repeat tastes of this to really get it ;)

Excellent. Very smooth on the back, a bit more oaky than the typical Cantillon gueuze and maybe tastes a bit older than it is?

Was able to try a few pours from different bottles. Bottle variation was fairly significant. The best one was very good, the worst was a bit too acidic and I didn’t care for it. The rating is for the average.

I think same blend as a few years ago? Nice, but I liked it more a few years ago.

Magic. Absolutely amazing. Soft, smooth, perfect carb. One of my fav Cantillon bottles ever

Rosé De Gambrinus (2022) shaver
Hyper fresh - March ‘22. Basically juice. Could have entirely too much of this.
