Sang Bleu (Camerise)

Lambic - Fruit

Previously called "Camerise Lambic" Lambic blend with blue honeysuckle, or haskap, berries.  For the past two years, we’ve been making a fruited blend with Camerise berries in small quantities. These berries are slightly sweet with a beautiful acidity.  We didn’t have to look very far for a its new name... a blue fruit that makes a blood-red beer: Sang Bleu. Our friend Ammo has outdone himself once again, creating a superb new label to go with its new name. A word from the brewer: Sang Bleu is powerful and very fruit-forward, but still maintains a nice, mellow balance between acidity and astringency.

Haven’t drunk any lambic for a while and I have to say that I made a big mistake. This one by Cantillon is really good: fruity (red berries), wild, creamy and super smooth 😍

2024. Tart jammy red berries kind of like a cranberry and a strawberry had a baby. Light and the berries hide the funk but I find it quite enjoyable. Cheers Gintaras!

Tried in 2024. Thank you Vince. So that's what a good sour should be. Smooth. There's a reason they're the best. As good of a sour as I will like.

Tart fruity and red currant lightly bitterness, but a watery fruity character. Lightly funky as it opens up. Very well carbonated and a tightly packed rose head on this
