A 50:50 mix of plump white grapes & wrinkly Sauternes grapes, musty oak & horse blanket-y funk nose; taste is dry & chalky, vinous & fragrantly herbal, tangy white grapes dominate, with lactic acidity & bitty ped funk; grapes soaked in yuzu juice finish.

Grape must and white wine nose. Dry and furry mouthfeel-reminiscent of gooseberry flesh. Acidic with a verjus softness. Little bit lacking in ‘punch’, muted tones. I get a hint of sake!

Aroma is French violette candy (anis de flavigny). Taste as well. Very interesting. Not too sour and good mouthfeel.
