Was curious to see how this aged after this much time. I expected many of the flavors to have faded. They haven't faded much at all. But the upside to aging.... there is next to warmth. Incredibly smooth now. Its better now than it was "fresh".

This one had some dust on it. Still get all the flavors on this one! Crushed the whole bottle. #proud

No bourbon or maple. Get chocolate, a lot of coffee and a slight oak. Slight tang at the end almost like cherry or date. Feels like any older and it will start to sour.

Sweetens up a bit as it warms. Initially a little bitter/sour. Still, more coffee than I prefer and not enough maple.

Almost 6 years old and drinking pretty good. Kept in wine fridge but this is not bad at all. Maple fell off and barrel is pretty strong but everything else is drinking nice.

This initially smelled off, a bit acidic cherry aroma. Actually tastes great though and the maple syrup really shines through

The Mountie has spoken - this is good! Dark (not so sweet) chocolate and good boozy flavors.

2017. Served impatiently at room temperature. Roast is prominent, and maple syrup adds nice sweetness among the dark coffee age chocolate flavors.

I had my doubts on this 6 year old brew holding up and was quite surprised at how well it held up. The maple bourbon barrel sweetness is present and blends well with the coffee flavor.

I used to prefer the KBS as I'm not such a fan of maple which makes beer to sticky for my palate. But the years made this beer rounder, less sweet yet still full bodied and rich, actually aged better than the KBS.

Quoi de mieux qu’un stout à l’érable pour faire du sirop. Encore bonne, pourrait pas dire si past prime ou non.
