It's been a few years, so not sure if this is a particularly good batch or I just forgot how good it was. I had been avoiding Founders until they sorted out their racism problem in brewery management.

Another banger of a vintage! Chocolate shines here. Feels like 9pm, but it's not! Bonus.

The real deal! Smooth and velvety body, big flavors of coffee and dark chocolate over a bourbon barrel base, with a bitter finish, all is in balance and delicious. Always drinks best fresh in my opinion.

Super good. Black a night. Coffee and a bit of chocolate. Super smooth and silky. You get the burbon at the end.

Heavy coffee with a boom of chocolate followed by a dollop of vanilla and richly enrobed in bourbon.

I didn’t even remember I had a 4pk of this earlier in the year. But it was hard to pass up another for $5.99 at Country Fresh. I nabbed two and left the last one 😎

Bottled 9/19/21, big flavors up front, anise or licorice lingers at the end. Body seems slightly lighter than expected, but probably splitting hairs.

Despite all bad press for Founders and the decline of their relevance in Craft, this brew was first to kindle my love for big BA stouts and is still a favorite! First check in from “Untappd At Home” as a full time Mainah!!
