Barley wine met wat meer hop en geroosterde mouten. Tof, maar wel een scherp bittertje.

I didn't realize this was bottled in 2021 when I bought it. It seems to have held up well although it's lost some of the more piney hop characteristics. Cheers to old beers!

Très étrange ce Barley wine. Très amer, malt grillé. Comme j'apprécie particulièrement l'amertume en ce moment et que je n'en peux plus du sucre (quand je vois "pastry", je me sauve en courant), ça me va bien!

Partially frozen in the back of the fridge. I let it sit on the counter for 30 minutes before pouring, but it still had a chunk of ice in it. That should up the ABV a bit. 😜

Oh yesssss. This is what I came for. Big rich toffee sweet and maybe even a little green. Got some bottles and looking to put some age on this. Sond roasted malt notes and maybe even coffee? Maybe some bright hops under there that will fade with age. #BiL

A smooth 11%. Happy Cellar Raid! They’re playing Iron Maiden in the taproom

Sweet nose. Roasty forward. Crisp, hoppy bite. Earthy, piney hop. Medium body. Strong. Sweet, roasted, slight smoky malt. Piney hop finish. Good barleywine

Not very versed in barley wine style brews, but wow...this really packs in the flavor. Roasty/ malty front end with a piney hop presence. Drinks like a deep brown ale on steroids.

Was expecting a Bigfoot clone. Nope! Malty, roasty and piney. Can’t wait to see what some age does to these.

Barelywine with a lot of bitter to it. Slight chocolate taste as it warms. Good not great.

Barleywine in body, but with an evil soul. Pour is dark mahogany brown. Nose is strong booze and heavy caramel. Complex tastes, mostly malt but with some peat, blackstrap molasses, and a heavy-handed bitterness from start to finish. An enemy indeed!

Mostly malt. Slightly boozy, not overly sweet.
