Vanilla oak bourbon dark fruit berry tobacco. Aging beautifully

Took 5 years but it is now something resembling Boulevard Rye on Rye. Peaking right now I'd say.

It's lost some flavor but I am so happy to revisit this. Terrific beer.

Probably too old, which could explain the bitterness.

So much better aged! Smokey, earthy flavor with a warm bourbon undertone. It's delicious in 2021.

Holding up good, a bit faded but still tasty. Murphy approves!

Found in the catacombs here. Huge molasses, muted bourbon nose. Happy the pour mustered up a head. Complex start w booziness morphs a bit to a bitterish yet sweetish malt finish (can I say that?) It held up better than I feared.

Boozy. Barrel. Roasty. Malts. Very nice warming sipper on a cold snowy football day.

I found this guy behind some larger bottles in my cellar and the label is 2016. This an amazing beer for being that old.

Another 'oldie' bites the dust ;-) very dence deep aroma, sweet rich sweet jam like fruit smell, and very noticeable barrel addition. Taste is almost too much, so thick, sweet, vinous and medicinal. Food pairing for this is...? Salami? Cheese? Candy?

Another stash/cellar beer. Well past its prime, sadly. Original rating stands.

2016 vintage. Predominant carmel aroma notes; smooth, sweet burnt sugar and crème brûlée notes on taste. Fantastic beer and the age more than likely blended and mellowed it nicely.

Still so tasty after 5+ years. Bourbon, leather, sweet, a great sipper.

A beer from better times. Pre covid!! This makes most evenings better.

BB date is June 2018. Likely past its prime. But you can still appreciate the caramel aspects withtout the wood from the barrel ageing. Note to self…stop waiting so long!
