Maple on the nose for sure. The barrel expresses itself well throughout the experience w/ the heavy chocolate of fudge being the main player. I would have liked more maple to better compliment the BA character, but a very good Stout nonetheless.

A touch more maple this year to complement the strong chocolate and coffee notes, but the Bourbon ones are fairly faint. It’s still an outstanding Imperial Stout though.

Final weekend of the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and my 8th and final visit this season, figured a quality pre-fest brew was in order. With heavy milk chocolate and tight barrel notes this fits the bill nicely. Huzzah! Stout Saturday!
