World Wide Stout (2016)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

Boozy with a slight astringency. Moderately roasty, thinner than expected body for its abv, some coffee notes. I like boozy stouts but this isn’t for me.

Find in the back of the cellar. Body has thinned out a bit but still a big ass beer. Port Wine, dark chocolate, malt, cherry. Yum

After 7 years 18% is pretty smooth, a little burn at the end. Pretty tasty, like a barleywine, raisins and roasty malts

Had some friends out last night for a tasting and we started with this! It held up really nice! Still had a lot of flavor and was pretty boozy!

Booze has softened carbonation has wilted quite a bit but all for the better IMO. Aged very nicely. Just wonderful.

Not aging as well as the 2008 did after 6 years. Still a little hot and tasting almost like it's fresh. Maybe in a couple more years...

I've had it a few times before but not at 6yrs. Looses much of the booziness.... but not the ABV. It's a trip with how smooth and rich it is. Proper viscosity.

Malt Does More

Another legendary beer I have wanted to try for ages. 1 November 2016 bottle. Tight tan head slowly raises up and then last for ages. Nose of complex dark roasty malts with hints of molasses, dark chocolate, dark caramel, and faint vanilla. The palate is
