World Wide Stout (2016)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, World Wide Stout is dark, rich, roasty and complex. This ageable ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV and has a depth more in line with a fine port than with a can of cheap, mass-marketed beer.

Boozy, but still very good. Toffee oak and whiskey.

Well, isn't this special...certainly has mellowed a bit...smooth...oddly enough, getting some strong cherry notes...my memories of previous years drinking this appear cloudy, disorienting...lack of lucidity....anyway, this beer slaps 6 years later.

I dunno. I thought this was still bearable at first. It’s not. Past it’s time.

Age did wonders for this. Roasty, oakey, leather, cigar, chocolate. Strong but not boozy somehow. Very good. Thanks Kevin N.

Still a boozy beast of an ale. Roasted malt and chocolate flavors fading, approaching an old strong ale profile

6 years old. First impression was soy sauce… initially thought I would have to drain this one but it grew on me. Ok; but definitely past its prime.

Just chillin in the discount bin! Aged beautifully, would love to compare with a fresh one, though if the residual heat here is any indication that'd light me on fire. Port, raisins, brandy, sherry, dark chocolate, espresso grounds. A real killer beer.

Found this beautiful brew and boy am I happy to give it a try. The years mellow out harsher coffee notes, revealing deep milk chocolate and enough booze to punt you to the moon. An experience and then some, World Wide Stout never fails to deliver.

Amazing how well this beer has aged - better than I remember- very smooth with rich notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla! Doesn’t drink like it is 18% ABV!
