Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°2

Lambic - Gueuze

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label is the driest gueuze we've ever made. Combining a full-bodied taste with nearly 100% fermentation degree was a big challenge. This gueuze has a clear golden body with lively carbonation, balanced sourness and flavors of green apple and grapefruit. This is finished off with a long bone-dry aftertaste. The Lambics used for this blend have aged for 1, 2, and 3 years on oak casks. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

BB 01/04/2036. My conclusion is that it 7 years old. Dry apple taste a bit tart still high carbonation. A bit funky.

750ml BC. Excellent tart, minerally, citrusy geuze with good restrained funk and decent rounded Brett character.

2017-03-21, 750ml bottled 2016. Imported by L'Office des Grands Crus. Pour pale orange a bit hazy with nervous bubbles and a white foam. Aroma if from the funky acidity, wood, citrus and light malt. Taste if from nuts shell, green apple, brett (Barn) and

Dégustation comparée des Black Label 2-5-7. La deux était la plus austère des 3. Très minérale. La différence entre les 3 étaient assez petites honnêtement.

Light bodied dry and tart flavor….this is sort of the missing link between beer and champagne flavor profile wise

Tons of carbonation. Cork strongly ejected from the bottle. Super lively. Fairly mild funk and flavor. Lots of minerality and light acidity. Like an extra brut champagne really.
