Blushing Monk (2011) Hess

This deserves a 5. 12+ years old and an absolute raspberry jam in the best way. Stunning

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2013) Hess

15 cork. Astronomical amounts of oak. Tons of funks, mild Acetic prescence (more pops up the longer its open) regular 13/15 gueze far exceeds this in quality. Drink super cold and drink fast. This declines the less carb it has and the more warm it is

Saint Lamvinus (2021) Hess

Fantastic after the Bofkont Merlot, this really flexed on it.

Le Plaisir Hess

Easy 5 and the beer of the night for me. Might be my favorite Cantillon grape blend but would need to drink with Divin to confirm. ISO all of these. Holler.

Camerise Lambic (2019) Hess

This was tasty. Not sure why it gets so much hate but I really enjoyed it. Loads of funk. Some spicyness and almost floral like notes. A touch tart but not overly acidic or acetic.

Tyrnilambic Baie D'Argousier (2021) Hess

Wow! This is bonkers. This may be my favorite Cantillon after Soleil.

Crianza Helena Hess

Awesome to finally tick this. Certainly delicious but imo not worth the chase anymore. I love secondary flavors that oxidation provides but for most this would be on its last legs. Either way absolutely delicious and one I’m very grateful to have tried.

Drogone Lambic Hess

Look forward to trying this later down the road with some age on it. So much character and funk.

Chouke (2018) Hess

Subtle Armagnac on the nose. Dried fruits and Forrest floor. No cork funk that’s the usual giveaway in their guezes for me. Again, subtle Armagnac on the palate. In no way is it the star of the show. Adds an oily layer that coats the front of the tongue.

Divin Lambic Hess

Classic Cantillon cork funk throughout. The wine shines through enough to let you know it’s there but the Gueze is the star of the show. Would love to taste this 10 years from now.
