Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout (2020) Martin
Hoped time would mellow it out. No dice. Tastes like chocolate paint thinner.

Pushing 14 years in the cellar. Drinks like an English barleywine now with a bit of oxidation happening. Ages well indeed.

Nice crispness, and a solid glass, but I dont think its worth the price of admission

Too French toasty. Adjunct beer for the win, right?

Nose has become interesting. Touch of oxidation, but drinks like a barleywine now (some would say it always has). Ive unintentionally collected 10+ years as a vertical that ill never drink in succession....

Far better than I was anticipating. Not the enamel stripper they were hoping for (?)

Another afternoon of stomach cramps. Not sure how a beer will go. Nice easy lager to find out. Crisp and lightly hoppy

SpontanCherry Frederiksdal (2020) Martin
Advent beer day 23: tart cherry. Some pucker factor, but those Frederiksdal cherries are awesome!

Advent day 19: Been 8 years since I last had this. And for all I've learned, jury is still out on what to think of this one.

Advent day 10. Not familiar with this fruit. Grape-ish. Could see it growing on me

Lightly tart, low acidity. So smooth. "Sophisticated" Meg says 😁

KBS Cinnamon Vanilla Cocoa (2021) Martin
Heavy cinnamon finish is a little distracting, but good character overall

Moderate tartness with a delicate fruit forwarders, gives way to big waves of farmhouse funk. Wonderful experience!

Missing, Last Seen With Martin
Taster not quite on par yet, this should have a roasty-bitter to it I'm not getting. But I am getting more of the sugars from the lactose

Missing, Last Seen With Martin
Strange roasty bits at the end. Burnt marshmallow? Its been over 5 years since I last had this. I appreciate it more now, but still not fully on board.

Heavy char in the finish. Boozy as hell. Its 6 or 7 years old so Its not obvious whats intentional or not. Nothing diacetyl or oxidized. Happy to have tried this beast!

Lots of roast. Nice Chipotle hit in the middle. Some more roast. Chocolates in the finish followed by roast.
