1/30/19 bottle. A very nice example of my favorite kriek in the lambic game. Not sure what happened with those 2021 vintages….probably global warming. Cinnamon cherry pie, tart lemon, cough syrup, ludens wild cherry, vanilla oak, and Brussels basement.

Nogis een Cantillon Oud Kriekske se. Blijft een top oude kriek! Een van m'n favoriete! En was nog eens lang geleden. :-)

Cherry, acidity, minerality and perfect carbonation with a finish like sourdough bread. Very complex and would have to drink this on multiple occasions to pick up on all the complexities. It tastes like a good lover after a steak dinner and bottle of wine

Tart, quite dry, wine-like, nice sour-patch thing in the finish. Bright.

Cherries. Lot of cherries. Very young probably. Smooth. Really easy drinking, not so sour, sweet mostly.

Nice surprise to find this in northern Italy. Classic wild ale with good flavors and a cheeky tweak of the nose at the end.
