Needs decanting. But still very raw and young. It has a cognac base, but finish is rather acidic and bitter. Hope this a) was a one timer “not so good bottle” or b) this brew develops and will mature in the cellar.

Here it is again, the classic 50n in cognac. Another pretty good batch I must say, citrusy and full of cognac notes, barrel, dry, great one.

Appel, peer, druif, citroen, karamel, honing, tarwe, brett, oude kaas, bloesem, hooi, paddenstoel, eik, vanille. Bitter(+), zoet(++), zuur(++).

Lots of oak and lemon followed by vanilla and dried fruits. Sour with some sweetness at the finish. Very nice

C and I were fortunate to get autumn packs and they arrived today. FINALLY trying 50N and god damn it does not disappoint one bit. Loads of cognac laced gueuzey funk. Less carb than I’d thought since the bottle is ~9 months old. Sublime. Let’s go BILLS🍻

Horse blanket, straw, oaky fresh apple & grape skin with that beautiful, warming cognac finish. Poured flat but a beauty nevertheless. God Jul & Gott Nytt ar!

Such a soft, delicate carbonation. Lingering cognac mixed with Cantillon funk. Quite dry. Low acidity, wish there was a little more. Very likely get better with more time, but quite nice fresh.

This beer is pure awesomeness. A lot of cognac barrel, sweeter and softer than your average cantillon beer. Cheers!

Today this was pure love. Barrels give a great flavour profile to a great base beer. After todays run and leaving 2020 behind I enjoyed it even more so

Very nice mild barrel characters. I get some nuttiness, vanilla. Little bit on the acidic side but will age very well over time. Excellent vintage.

The barrel’s presence varies from slight to noticeable both in smell and taste. The base lambic itself does not disappoint

Smyger med riktigt fint i provningen. Så lugn. I annat sällskap hade den kanske gått obemärkt förbi. Trevligt funky!

Maybe my plebeian palate but this just tastes like gueuze? A touch on the acidic side. Def some background funk. One of my fav Cantillon labels, too.

Barrel is SUPER present right. Glad to try it young but really excited to try it in 5 years or so.
