Gueuze Loerik (2019)

Lambic - Gueuze

Cantillon Loerik, or 'Lazy Boy' is a blend of one, two and three year-old lambics that creates a second fermentation in the bottle. Loerik, however, takes its sweet time... for some unknown reason, it just doesn't referment like a regular Cantillon Gueuze. But with time, the yeasts gather themselves, and the beer re-ferments, and the result is an exceptionally complex and extremely rare beer. Bottling date : 15 October 2019

Met deze accurate afbeeldingen van het kerstverlof 2021 afzwaaien. Dat volgend oudjaar wat minder lui mag zijn 😉 Wat het bier betreft: als het plat is/blijft moet er toch genoeg spanning zitten in de aroma's en de funk. Dit is zeker (nu al) het geval!

Nice funk, sweetness, leather, eraser, cheese in the aroma. Relatively sour with good tinned fruits, and a building bitterness. Minimal perlage, oily mouthfeel. Looking forward to trying this in the future.
