More difficult to taste the maple syrup this time. On the sweet side but maybe with a bit of tang (molasses).

Drygt 6 månader sen senast. Fortfarande vuxengott detta! Stor, värmande bourbonton runt massa söt malt, melass, maple. Sött och GOOOTTTT!!! 4,5

Old Ale uit whiskeyvaten waar ook maple syrup in heeft gelegen. En dat is me daar toch iets moois geworden! Zachter dan een barleywine, veel vanille, kokos-achtig, hele zachte whiskey. Blijven toppers, die van Founders

Thicker than I remember. Very smooth. Malty, lightly sweet, minimal barrel. Subtle.

Sporo karmelu, syropu, melasy, dość treściwe, troche wanili i kokosa. Destylat trochę i alko czuć. Całościowo smaczne takie na cztery minus jak to founders zazwyczaj

👃- brown sugar, barrel notes 👅- burst of maple, brown sugar sweetness. Warm boozy oak mid to finish. Hint of toffee malt. Little heat on the finish. Body is rich and mouth-coating

Bottled 8/2018. Old ale seems more prominent now. Nice sweet finish is still there.

Wow really nice bourbon and maple sweetness comes through. The old ale is mellowed to a good means to transport this nice barrel aging and still have some backbone.

I can tell this is a quality beer, but I just don’t care for the sweetness and maple/molasses finish.

Great beer. This is what I believe an Old Ale should be. Visual - not terribly dark. Sweet, dark fruit - raisin forward. Maybe a bit boozy. Just a hint of bitterness - maybe from the molasses? Great beer. If the bitterness were a bit more subtle I'd go 5.
