It’s football time…in Tennessee! This is dangerously smooth. Coffee forward with chocolate syrup in the finish. No heat or boozy profile to it. Thiccc

Late check in. Cellar beers. Smoothed out with age, espresso isn’t as zippy but hasn’t turned. Bit of dusty cardboard on the back end but is mostly drowned out by a bittering cocoa powder, topped with some oak.

Revist after the 2019 release. I don't see why I rated this a 5. While it is flavorful, the body is very thin, and leaves something to be desired. The coffee is great and the sting from the bourbon sits on the tongue, but there are better stouts.

Not sure how to read the barrel label, but if this is best before, and Founders mention a shelf life of 365 days... I can only assume this is a 2019 vintage, maybe even a 2017... I'll go with the former! Chairs! Also... It's lovely!

Reminds me of 40mm stout with the sharp cold coffee bite. Better creamier mouthfeel though.

This has been in my fridge three plus years giving me serious stink eye every time I reached in for another, newer beer. Espresso/coffee flavors remain rich & the barrel presence prevalent in every sip. Bottled 11/18/19.
