The nose from the barrel is stronger than that from the maple. The flavor of the barrel and maple is stronger than the fudge. The fudge is in the finish, or maybe I drank the whole bottle before writing this and just like the alliteration. 🤔🙄😏

2nd bottle/try… still thin n mainly coffee flav. OG KBS still better tastewise and maple stout wise CBS is faaaaar ahead of this one. Too bad

The best KBS variant. Super fudgy. CAnt taste any barrel but still great. Medium-high sweetness. Reminds me of a ramped down version of prairie weekend.

Really easy to drink even if is 11% abv. strong chocolate notes in the beginning, than I would say the bourbon start slowly to prevail over anything else. Really good beer, pretty much near perfection for what I seek in this style.

Green coffee and bell pepper in the nose, much better on the palate: dark chocolate, espresso, slight maple syrup, subtle bourbon trail. Quite drinkable, despite the layers of taste and the (totally hidden) ABV. Thumbs up.

Arom av choklad och kola med en hint av bourbon fatlagringen. Mycket choklad även i smaken. Får samtidigt lite kaffe och rostad malt. Lätt torr finish med lite bourbonfat. Ok kropp och fyllighet.

Sat in the fridge for a year and this is literally fudge in barrel aged liquid form. Smell a little of the maple and there’s some bitterness from the coffee over time but the sweet strong chocolate flavor offsets that. Cold night. Fire going. 4.15

A sweeter variant of KBS. Coffee and fudgy chocolate forward with a slight tinge of vanilla and bourbon on the finish.

It’s that big chunk….of fuuuudge! Really nice balance between bitter and boozy and ashy and sweet. Not taxingly thic but plenty of body cradling the flavours throughout. Big thanks to the mighty Kirby D. for the insomnia! Soft 4.5.

Doft av kaffe, choklad, vanilj och lönnsirap. Fyllig och något rostad munkänsla. Smak av kaffe, choklad och lönnsirap med fatlagring vid sidan av. Något torr och rostad eftersmak med inslag av kaffe, choklad, lönnsirap och fatlagring.

Wonderful smell pre-tasting! Almost a desert Stout. Very flavorful and special “out of production” KBS.
