Sally And Irma

Quite typical non-alco flavor profile. Sweet wort, tart citrus and peach ice tea. Still quite refreshing and nice with the burger that was excellent!

Passion Pool Non Alc Shallow

"Fika"/coffee break with all the colleagues gathered for the first time in ages. Tart and bit acidic with lots of fresh passionfruit. Very light malty touch (not noticing any wort though) but suppressed by lemony notes. Probably best non-alco I've had!

Canned 7May21. Bit soapy with tangerine, pineapple, grapefruit and peach. Getting a light alcohol sting in finish with the slight bitterness. Also, feels fatigued, getting oxidized?

Oude Geuze Boon Black Label Edition N°5

Loud pop from the cork and lively carbonation. Funky and musty with a touch of wet wood. Earthy and very dry with fruity touches of green apples, grapefruit and apricot. Balanced sour and acidic. Minerals and bit of warmth in finish.

Solid Gold

Light and clean maltiness with bread, grains and crackers. Finish is light bitter with citrus and herbal notes. Bit too light overall, but instead easy and refreshing drinking. Price level in Sweden just above (a quarter, ish) PBR and Bud, not bad...

Deep Passion Pool

Deeper passionfruity, but also losing the fresh touch and adding alcohol.

Fresh passionfruity with lacto yoghurty notes and lemon. Refreshing pool party beer for sure!

Vigneronne (2005)

Bought at Ølbutikken. Sour and funky with murky oxidation notes. Not much grapes anymore, more like a vinous vibe instead. Perhaps a bit buttery white wine notes present. Dry, wooden finish with acidity.

Henry Gose Lightly

Lunch beer @work. Tart and salty with lemon, bit yoghurty lacto notes and some sweet wort. Quite OK, but as usual, would help if the wort notes weren't there, or at least less of them...

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021)

Well, not as I remember it. Coffee, but green with nettles. Vanilla, coconut, bourbon and chocolate. Needs cellaring???

Frederiksdal shoot out. More stevnsbær flavor in this one. Still funky and woody, but the deep cherry flavor with a slight cherry seed touch wins over the Baghaven. Even if super close.

Spontankriek (2021)

Cherries with cherry seeds and light marzipan. Fruity sweetness in the background for a cherry juice vibe. Spontan base not as good as the ones from more established breweries, but it does the trick. Feels mellow compared to others in the Spontan series.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge

Smooth, balanced and fine tuned the typical Founders way, also meaning bit careful and heldback. Surprisingly enough the fudge coffee and maple syrup accentuate the chocolate, making it rich in cocoa notes. Very tasty, with a light candy vibe.

Bit more musty than I remember, or that's just the cellaring... Grapefruit, funk, apples, lemon, wet wood and some touch from cognac. Still some bite from the alcohol (little too much for my taste). Sour with dry finish. Lost some freshness with age.

Unknown BB date, but way past its prime, probably 5+ years old. Still OK even if very perfumy.

90 Minute Imperial IPA (2014)

Bottled 27Feb14. Survived better than Hop Zombie and Cap Dog. Light dusty, but cleaner caramelly notes. Getting a light barley wine vibe.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio (2020)

Bit different cherry flavor to what I'm used to from Kriek. Some cherry seeds. Funk, wood and lemon. Sour.

Giant Jelly

Canned 30Oct20. Didn't pour the last of the can as it looked like major hop burn, and well, it was, so glad I didn't... Thick and dense with a touch of hop burn despite all. Light onion with some dankness. Muted with mango, peach, orange and grapefruit.

Santa's Hoppy Helpers

Caramelly base with slight a burnt sugar vibe. Piney and lingering bitter with grapefruit and herbal notes.

Japanese Rice Lager With Yuzu

Dry with not much yuzu despite the name, more of a general citrusy touch. Lemon peel bitterness in finish. Not much breadiness in body.

Phase Curve

Bit odd with perfumy lemony meets earthy hop touch. Pineapple and grapefruit. Slim body, but not that bad for a session IPA. Some bitterness in finish.

K:rlek Höst/Vinter (2020)

Canned 13Aug20. Earthy, bit soapy and thin, not the best recipe for a good pale ale... Surprisingly pale and clear in color. Malty and slight spicy with mild hops; citrus, floral notes and grass. Some bitterness in a dry finish.

Marvelroast

Smooth and creamy with coffee, toffee and, well, where's the 3rd word that rhymes with the previous ones? 😁 Sweet with vanilla, chocolate and nuts. Slight bitter finish luckily, giving some edge, otherwise would have been too much vanilla and sweetness.

Cuvée Oude Henri

Vinous and dry with oak (spicy and a hint of toast), white wine, lemon, grapes and grapefruit. Moderately sour

Canned 1Sep20. Very light in color... Quite thin with a soapy touch. Lemon, pineapple and citrus. Light hop burn.

Canned 6Aug20. Juicy with some branches into fruity, on the sweeter side with some bitterness in finish. Mango, peach, honey, grapefruit and light dank pine. Leans towards the sweet and malty, could use some kind of refreshing edge.

Fou' Foune (2020)

The foune getting back to the good old days, without being at its best. Not pure apricot marmalade, but very fruity with funk and sourness in the background. Perhaps a slight more acidic than the best vintages, but still back in shape.

Spontancarrot (2016)

Very oxidized with big dusty notes. Not much carrot, if any at all, just a sweet vegetal-ish vibe with some earthiness. Low on lambic touches overall. Not as sour as the other Spontans. Didn't survive the cellaring (or however it was stored...)

Astral Sabbatical

Canned mid July 20. Earthy but juicy with orange, pineapple, herbal notes and grapefruit.

Oude Geuze Boon - Bone Dry Mikkeller Selection (2015)

Really dry, wooden and a clean but mellow acidity. Very nice

Possible cork taint at first glance, but not the case luckily. Still a bit mellow cherry flavor with sourness and funk taking a bigger place.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)

Waited with this one for a while, almost a year since bottling. Last year of CBS, and perhaps the one with least maple syrup? More of the bourbon barrels, but still keeping it balanced. Still smooth and rounded, and it sure is tasty!

The King's Cup

Bit thin, of course, but still good for a non-alco. Wheaty vibe with some sweetness and light non-alco maltiness. Slight zesty finish, with low bitterness. Grapefruit, orange and pineapple.
