The color is limpid, deep raisin brown. Nose: silky, date, raisin, medium-sweet apple, a suggestion of biscuit, cranberry, remote caramel, wild yeast, port, vanilla. Taste: date, raisin, aged port, vanilla, cranberry, damson, rowanberry, wild yeast.

So much going on here. Definite barleywine vibes but lots of barrel notes too, overlaid with funk. I tried the 2013 version before and this version is loads better

18 avril Moeder Fontainas. Hé boy que c’est pas mon genre. Genre de barleywine du lambic. C’est tellement intense et tourbé et fumé même. Une chance qui avait le cheese fondu dans la baguette de Léo 😍

This is the best still lambic I’ve had. Initially there is a huge Vin Jaune quality to the aroma. Balsamic vinegar but delicately, caramel, old lambic. In the mouth it’s totally flat but it is very oily, coating and the depth of the lambic is insane. Love
