Lambic Haute Densité (2019)

Lambic - Traditional

Brewed 12 December 2013 Bottled 15 March 2019 The wort of this Lambic underwent a boil of more than 5 hours in order to concentrate the sugars even more, to ultimately reach a density twice as great as a regular brew’s. If the recipe for this beer is technically the same as a Lambic, its flavor is radically different.

Starts off like a barleywine and ends sour. Quite dry. A bit port-like. Interesting beer!

Amazing, sweet raisin notes. Reminds me of some 20 year old fruit wine I found when I moved house.

This beer was truly something. Fair amount of whisky notes mixed with funk? Odd, yes it was. Hard transition at first but solid as I kept drinking. Can't say I'll have this again. Thanks for the great conversation and good times! Damian Michi

Certainly a changeup. Took a bit to get used to a heavier beer but not too bad. Get hints of barleywine.

Eh 🍻

High intensity indeed. Brady, raisin. Depp. Very nice. Some something I can’t put my hand on. Quote alcoholic. Tasty

Good way to start the day. Bit shocked by the first sip but it's very moreish. Not a classic lambic. When in Rome I guess.

Hoh.

Thick lambic. Almost syrup structure, sweet, with a sour aftertaste. At least you would think you drink a sour barleywine. Really interesting ánd tasty

Complex flavors coming from different barrel types. Wine dryness, rum spicy sugar, and lambic tartness have an intricate and varied balance from start to finish
