Very floral nose, mixed in with the grapefruit notes I like in new St Gilloise.

Surprisingly light on the raspberry character considering how young it is, still tasty.

Phew! Pretty damn sour, especially for such a young Fou. Great apricot fruit though.

Pricey pour, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Light lemony acidity, hints of funk. I'm here for pizza!

Faded color, but still plenty of dusty raspberry on the nose and palate.

Riesling-y notes bit as prominent as the last time, still goodly white wine grape notes.

Grand Cru Bruocsella Lambic Bio (2016)
Surprisingly carbed - pleasantly effervescent, the funk level is light for GCB.

Grapey with a healthy shot of that characteristic St Lam funk.

Shy cherry character on the nose, some nice sour cherry notes on the palete.

Eh. Chenin Blanc is an unexciting grape IMO, and it's thoroughly unexciting here.

Less distinctive this time. Still good, but more generic Cantillon-good this time.

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2022)
Less curry than the last time I tried this, but still an oxidized mess to me. Can't understand the hype around this beer. 🤷♂️

Weird. Like a lambicbarleywine. Very lightly sour. Caramel notes on the finish.

Nose is predominantly bretty funk, minerally notes, palate is hard to pin down - meaty? And white wine notes.
Bright acidity, some subdued red wine grape notes. As it warms, some funk emerges.
Mineral and white grape notes on the nose, a bit odd kind of funk with white grape on the palate.
Bright peachy fruit along with some lambic funk. Noice. Happy Zwanze Day 2022!

Bruoscella 1900 Grand Cru (2022)
Flat as Kansas, slight funk, but not nearly as funktastic as it should be with some age.
Fruit is buried beneath higher acidity compared to the other times I've had this one.
Nose is reticent, but you can still pick up plenty of funk.
Bretty notes more pronounced than in the American version, briny finish.

Interesting, really interesting. Whole array of white grape aromas and flavors, most noticeably goût de pétrol notes presumably from the riesling pomace.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (Armagnac) (2017)
Strong booze notes alongside the usual funk.
Dusty cherry and baking spices, color faded but thankfully the beer hasn't.
Lemony acidity more prominent than usual for Cantillon gueuze.
Good despite the uncarb-ness, though it seems less characterful than Bruocsella, imo. Light funk, light acidity.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2017)
Hints of poo-ish funk to go with the usual grapefruity character.
Sweet fruit on the nose, already got a tickle of acidity, light funk.
Fruity light red wine character, bit of cherry cough drop in there, minimal funk.

This bottle is back to form, lotsa juicy apricot, medium-low acidity.

Not off like many of the bottles of this that I've had, nice fruit.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2015)
Huge dollop of wood on the nose. Standard Cantillon funk on the palate.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) (2019)
A bit higher on the funk, lower on the grapefruitiness than I usually get from this.
Got a few drops of the dregs - that's enough, really. Floral green pepper all day. Yeesh.
Disappointing. Wharz the froooot? It's got acidity! Much more than one would expect given its youth.
Color has faded to a blush orange, lots of poopy funk at the start of the nose.
Whiff of toothpaste mint, resolving into moderate funk, light acidity.

Strangely, more white wine grape character than I've gotten from new bottles.
