May v September bottlings. The same but different, May more sour. Last years Cantillon Kriek have been outstanding.

What to say about this beer that hasn’t already been said? About as close to “core” range as you get with Cantillon. It should be the bench mark for everyone’s core range. The bench mark for every Kriek. Sublime

Yesterday, March 2020 bottle #4. Got much funkier in the “cellar” (18-21 °C) since last bottle: more sulfide stink but at a pleasant level. Prefer it younger, but it’s just something different now, and that’s cool. Still plenty of kriek character :)

Bottled on 14th of May. This is how you do it. Young and powerful. More cherry skin than cherry, dark and thick fruit. Will age some but drink most.

I like Cantillon Kriek a lot, because lambic shines through the cherries, and this composition and balance makes this kriek very special. Pure classics.

Cerise confite, peau et noyau, pas de fraîcheur dans le fruit et finale assez astringente, mais très bel équilibre entre funk, acidité et fruit.
