Wow, so much better than I expected, one of the best Zwanzes imho, especially on tap (bottle still need time to mellow). Tons of pepper on the nose with all its nuances, lemon too, flagrant but no bite. Palate is similar but more complex, ....

Zwanze w listopadzie? Jak najbardziej, jeszcze jak. Pyszne piwko, bardzo zyskuje po ogrzaniu. Mocno pieprzne, ściągające, stajenne, drzewne. Mógłbym mieć takie perfumy.

I can finally tick this one, thanks to JVR. An absolute gem but I still prefer batch 2, Ashanti. The latter is much more balanced and easier to drink. The Zwanze could shine in food pairings though.

Looks innocuous enough but packs a whale of a peppery nose: ground black pepper, distant gueuze. Palate brings mouthwatering gueuze tartness in, and it all works surprisingly well together. Did not expect to like this as much as I do. At Perry’s
