Hmm, too sweet, too low bitter. It's not RIS, it's just sweet imperial stout with a lot of cocoa and chocolate. Overall - medium, I expected more.

LCI Last night - simply an imperial stout..no extras, strong, every sip goes from not overly sweet first to a bit sourish afterwards. Good.

The bear sleeps in the winter, it's time for him again now... Mighty tasty but a bit sour, nasty. Mellow in the not so good way, last of the cellar stout, out.

Very solid imperial stout. Balanced toasty malt and a little sweetness. Would definitely drink again!

The bottle is a few years old, and it has really developed well. Big, rich chocolate.

Beer 2690: Lockdown 3 Day 73: MBM Jan ‘20: Kept this for a year for an experiment (I really forgot I had it!) this is a full on, full bodied, bitter, dark chocolate, boozy Russian Imperial Stout. Just how it should taste, not over complicated, spot on

Rich coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. Perfectly balanced. Boy is this good. Absolutely does not taste like 10%. Kind of dangerous in that regard.

A gorgeous and classic RIS. Chocolate, subtle coffee, raisin and nuts with a huge thick body. Can't wait to see how this ages.

Första gången på fat. Konstigt att jag inte checkat in den tidigare. Har definitivt druckit den flaska tidigare, åtminstone ett par gånger. Det var nog ett tag sen sist men den träffar fortfarande förbannat fint.

Heavily-roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, mild earthy/piney hops, liquorice, mild tobacco, and a soy sauce-like umami note. Drying finish.

Tastes better when my bb buys me beer, fine line between savory Smokey and sweet. A classic for sure

Caramel, coffee, dark chocolate and a little malty scratchiness.

Bold chocolate malts and light coffee. On the palate, caramel, coffee and bold dark chocolate malts. Smooth and full bodied. 3.75

Nose of Smokey bacon and BBQ pit charcoals. Taste is heavy boozy with bakers chocolate, some licorice, more warming booze going down

Bottle at home. Black with a rim. Scent is intensive cocoa and mild wood. Whisky. Taste is consistent. Mild wine notes. Black bean curd. Finish is consistent. Fairly expectable and inoffensive. I would expect more from mikkeller on this kind of ale. ...
