Straight up dry stout with a bourbon finish, excellent

Like most stouts, better as it warmed. Had an unbelievable roasty nose. Very thick in the mouth with great after-taste. Thanks John!

Last bottle. Probably the best deal in beer last year! Hoping it comes out again this year.

The barrel mutes the licorice and dark fruit this beer normally has in a great way. Smooth roast with medium body. ABV well hidden

Big wood and whiskey notes. Roasty, classic non-additive stout with big flavor and good balance.

A little chocolate and feint booze on the nose. Dark chocolate and Expresso on the palate. Nice rich mouthfeel. Sitter year and the booze aroma should fade a bit. Fantastic...

Thx ✨Jeff M. For sending this years ago haha! Just opened. Cold to warm, opening up. Charred barrel, roasted drying oak bitter essence. Transitions to a semi sweet dark cherry ashy profile with a touch of vanilla and coffee Body is medium and creamy.

Ok - if anyone has this in the cellar: beware - huge ass gusher. Lost 1/3 of the bottle. Thankfully a 750 so hope is not lost. Part of the haul from Mike L. I never knew Founders made this. Decent barrel, ashy charred medium body. Nice non-adjunct brew

Probably the best beer I've had this year. Plz excuse the hotel paper cup

Maybe it's served a little cooler than it should have been or a little older, but I think this beer is still great but not as great as I was hoping. With that said, it's still flavorful as heck and I will update the review as it warms up if needed

Boom, 4k check-ins! I was thinking this was going to be incredible as I loved the base beer before, and it's good, but fell short of the greatness I was thinking. A bit bitter tasting and then big barrel. Pre-game for Munsters murder mystery dinner!

Four years and it's a little sassy at opening. Still pretty tasty.

Chocolate, caramel, & light molasses up front. Light-moderate charred oak, smoke, bourbon, & a hint of vanilla in the finish. Outstanding! Had a BA IS from them way back in the day at the Ypsi Summerfest (05/06???) & wondered why they never bottled it.

Good brew but I'm keen to see how this will develop over time!
