Aged very well. It is sweet, somewhat reminiscent of Utopias

Heavily oxidized, but still quite quaffable; notes of sherry and orange dominate the senses…

Bottle pour, caramel brown sugar nose, no foam, malty caramel brown sugar either some piney bitterness in the finish

Still has a strong hoppy aroma, but it’s mostly nonexistent on the palate. Suuuuuuper alcohol-forward though.

Didn't expect 12+ years on a beer to taste so splendid. Started sipping in 2023; finished it in 2024. So smooth!

Became leathery, raisin-y, and barleywine-ish by aging this long.

Yep... bottled September 2011. Decided it was time to hit a bit of my vintage stock! It's funny to think how the world (or at least mine) has changed more than the beer has. More bite, I think. Maybe not as smooth. Surprising hop aroma. Aged quite well

Nose has become interesting. Touch of oxidation, but drinks like a barleywine now (some would say it always has). Ive unintentionally collected 10+ years as a vertical that ill never drink in succession....

Unique check-in #5,000! Aged 12 years and cracked in celebration of the close on the sale of my house today!

Deep in color. Dark and caramel in nature. Robust in flavor. Almost port like.

Cellared since 2011. With a little 11 years on it, had an rich Old Ale taste.

Drinking in 2022. Smell is earthy, like beetroot, but not so edgy, a bit of dark fruity sweetness as well. Taste is super rich, deep, plums and chocolate, with more raisiny sweetness. Warming, sweet, port wine notes, with a twinge of hop bite at the end.

2011 vintage. Decided it was time for this bottle. And it is wonderful. The sweetness from the malt balances the high abv well. After 11 years, the hop aroma has obviously waned, but some still remains. The hop flavor is still strong.

Fantastic with 11 years of age. A malty brandy. Fantastic beer experience.

Whoa...11 years had turned 120 into Olde Skool barleywine. Liquorice and cherry leather.

Little carbonation left; drinks like a barely wine with a buttery finish. Subtle boozy finish.

1st time with an aged 120 minute. Very cool, mellowed from the fresh brew
