Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2017) Danelia

Yeah, seems I was right in 2018. 7 years later and it's heavily fallen off. Drinks like a medium bodied coffee stout with a dose of maple. Lingers roasty coffee, oats, a lil ash, and a good amount of dark chocolate shavings. Not bad, but pity it fell off

Gueuze (2023) Danelia

Great vintage! Brilliant acidity, great expression of oak, yeat, nd Lambic character through tradition. Notes of apricot, pear, 🍏, green grapes, white guava, white wine, a tinge of passionfruit, lime, lemonade, wet flowers, dank grass, bit of pine+resin

Nath (2023) Danelia

Pretty darn good. The rhubarb perfectly folds into the Cantillon acidity and overall character. Super complimenting, great tartness and acidity with the earthy funk balancing it out quite well. Further notes of earthy strawberry, raspberry, cherry skins

Magic Lambic (2023) Danelia

Not as crazy about this year's. I still appreciate the raspberries and vanilla, though the latter is less so felt than on the 2022, and the addition of the blueberry is welcomed, but it just doesn't hit the same way. Breadier nd kinda rubber floral bitter

Kriek 100% Lambic (2023) Danelia

Mmm, what a great year for this! Tart, juicy, and super genuine sour cherry throughout, as well as a heightening of the acidity through the Lambic and wooden casks bringing it to new heights. The wood doesn't quite bring it to pie levels, but it's delish

Birramisu Danelia

Big bitterbess to it, both hoppy floral and coffee ground, lady finger sweetness, dark bitter chocolate. Not a huge fan of how this came out, but I can appreciate it

Zwanze 2024 - MMXXIV Danelia

Not gonna lie, not the biggest fan of this year's Zwanze. The nose on this is super seaweed which really throws me off due to its briney umami and saline dominant profile. It does open up after a few sips, smooth mouthfeel, w apricot and mango stone fruit

World Wide Stout (2012) Danelia

Has held up impressively well for 14 years. Deep dark roast nd chocolate w a strong barley character shining through amidst the dark chocolate, black licorice, earthy roast, nd dark fruit notes. There also seems to be a somewhat moldy taste to it as well

Definitely not the first time having this, but still really enjoyable! Really REALLY drives the apricot character of this Lambic through and through, with bold twanny and sweet dried apricot, tart underripe, and juicy and aromatic ripe fresh apricot notes

Dry, tart, SOUR green and underripe white grapes, plus a nice proper Lambic earthy funk with even a little smooth nuttiness too

Great vintage of it, honeysuckle+honeyberry notes galore! Coupled w brilliant acidity, bit of good wood barrel, nd the always solid Cantillon funk results in an excellent iteration of this beer. Love how dry yet intricately complex the wine+fruit profile

Goliat Maple Beacon Edition Danelia

Surprisingly good to drink on a summer BBQ afternoon despite its 10+% due to it not being all that heavy bodied+both its dark coffee n boozy bourbon oak notes being moderately instead of overtly present.

Actually really good! Got a great malt sweetness that comes across as if there's corn in this, and further enhanced by the additional sweetness provided by the rice. Crisp, refreshing, satisfying!

It's ... alright. Don't get me wrong, it's still good cherry Lambic, but it lacks the depth and complexity but instead has a more pronounced flat funk and twanny cherry instead of both bright acidity and funk nor juicy and super expressive sour cherries

Lou Pepe Gueuze (2010) Danelia

Only getting the dreggs, but even then this is earthy obviously funky, with a good red berry pit, like raspberry and red currant, undertones.

22 June 2022 bottle. Great vintage of it, even drinking it with barely any age on it. Bright and tart cherry cherry pie. Lovely lingering sour cherry and acidity. Really good!

Gods damn, this might be the best Fou'Foune I've ever had! Brilliant expression and balance between the piquant acidity and bright and juicy peaches.

Iris (2016) Danelia

So sour, so hoppy, has that sharp Belgian near-wine vinegar acidity, and that complex hoppy bitterness and Gueuze funk. Almost lingers like a digestive with how cool and herbal the prominent hop bitterness is.

Vigneronne (2022) Danelia

Very good. Nice notes of vineous grapes woven throughout a moderately earthy, dry, and peppery lambic.

Cuvée Saint-Gilloise (Champions) 2022 Danelia

Dry, acidic, and pronounced in it's hop profile. A good take on the Lambic style, but lacking the fruit character that personally draws me in

Kriek 100% Lambic Danelia

Love me a Kriek! This one is a little more tart and more subtly tannic expressive of the cherry while maintaining a peasant tartness and acidity. Hopped for a bit more oomph from the cherries, prefer the Bio, but getting this on draft is always a treat

Bruocsella 1900 Grand Cru (2021) Danelia

28 September 2021 bottling A pleasant Lambic to sip, still full of complexity but much milder and goes down easier due to it being still. Notes of tart grape skins, sweet flesh nd peppery pit. Light overall peppery-ness. Nose has cheese nd vinegar funk.

Lou Pepe Framboise (2015) Danelia

Still loads of raspberry, jammy and pity with a little overripe berry flesh. Considerably funkier with it's age, the hops and slight cheese funk are more noticable and present, especially on the back and linger. Also slightly more still than expected

Olde School (2008) Danelia

Thanks Jon! Gods damn, 14 years! Crazy how this aged, and actually held up. Dates, raisins, and candied figs bourbon boozy barley wine bomb with notes of nutty almond toffee, chocolate, tobacco, and vanilla to the dark fruit and Port.

Kriek 100% Lambic Bio Danelia

2019! Phenomenal. Probably the best Kriek I've had from Cantillon, maybe one of the best I've ever had overall. Impeccable balance of dry, tart, and sour cherry. Speaking of, the sour cherry on this is brilliant too. Incredible extraction, just lovely.

Wish it was thicker with marshmallow, strong in graham and spice, or richer in the dark Stout profile. As it stood, it was not bad, by far, but just an OK middle of all the grounds.
