Don't know which batch this is, but love the richness here from the port. Yum. FLN Zwanze Day

I had a few pours of this, easily the best thing on tap for Zwanze 2024. FLN Zwanze Day
about 1 year ago
FLN Zwanze Day. Far superior to the original batch. This actually has carb and so much less unpleasant funk compared to the OG.

Rip Van Winkle World Wide Stout
LCI - Oscar party. It was all boozy booze and some oxidized sweet caramel. Like a fusel barelwine. Not my thing. Not worth the $65 I paid for this novelty lol

2014 vintage, 10 years old. Drinking literally perfect right now. Floral, complex, woody, balanced. A little tart on the edge of the tongue. No acidity. Wow
over 1 year ago
Out the bottle, it has a cheesy funky finish that reminds me of kriek in an in between phase. After sitting for 30 min, that goes away. It's good, but it lacks uniqueness or complexity right now. I think this one needs a lot more time to age and develop
over 1 year ago
Absolutely crushed it still. That bitter tartness is so unique and it's not acidic

2021 - drinking in between with the flavor of fresh but developing the aged tartness. Very nice

Gueuze Cuvée Moeder 10 Ans (2019)
This was amazing. Well balanced. Robust flavor. Great geuze

Batch 1. Perfectly stored. Coffee is faded but the barrel and vanilla is drinking perfectly still. Yum!!

Aging wonderfully. Prickly tartness, but not very acidic. Just a little bit of funk for complexity

Grand Cru Bruocsella Brut (2021)
This was stellar. TBH, this is the only version of GCB that should exist :)
2007. No rating here cause it's obviously not prime. But while it tasted like cardboard it also still had surprisingly not horrible coffee and maple flavor
about 2 years ago
It's aging nicely and getting better vs fresh. Excited to revisit this in the coming years

2017. Deep and complex vinous character. A little more tart than Scarabee but that minerality and deeper funk was so excellent.
Apricot juice. Softer, less complex than the 10 year aged. So different. But quite great.
Perfectly balanced. Like an elevated 50n with great wood character
over 2 years ago
The. Use is near perfect right now. Fruitier than 2017 at the moment plus that bitter floral character. Quite good
over 2 years ago
Floral and sweet apple grape-i-ness (like in a spatlese). Pear too. Not super tart and no acidity. So balanced
over 2 years ago
Has lost much of the fruitiness and now it's mostly floral. But still a total banger

2021. Nice flavor, delicious vinousness, but massively undercarbonated
about 3 years ago
Vinous, lower carbonation. More like wine than beer in many ways. The lambic character is very subtle. Not much tartness.

One of the week's best beers. Great blend, no real acidity and eminently drinkable
about 3 years ago
Mossy, peaty, sea salty nose and wood. Way too smoky and peaty on the taste. It's weird and not as smoky as straight scotch but it doesn't do great with the lambic. Weird in a weird way. One of my less fave loons

Funky, Slightly cheesy. Woody. Old, barnyardy. But with bright notes too

Dec 3, 2020 bottle. White grape juice finish. Tart, citrusy grape upfront with a light vinous character. Juicy throughout. A little barrel funk on the after taste. Great beer
about 3 years ago
On two at Moeder. Really great. More acidic and tart than Scarabee (sampled side by side)
Funkier, pungent rich fruity grape. More acidic than D'aunia. Least favorite of the grape lambic side by side - but still a quality good beer
about 3 years ago
Floral, sweet white wine nose. Honey syrup, grape, wood. Balanced with a vinous finish. Light tartness, almost no acidity (especially side by side with lambic daunis). Stellar, soft, complex.

2016 cantillon geuze magnum - a wonderful way to end quintessence day. Beautifully aged.

I know this is grape but I get a ton of stone fruit here. Great balance.
2021. Under carb for my preference, and a lot of dry red vinous character that I think doesn't do well while this is so young but will shine with some age.
Never heard of this before. Slightly tarter, funkier Saint Lam is the best way to describe. More depth. I really liked this, but probably too tart to drink a ton of it
about 3 years ago
Wife was all beer'd out by the end so I got her pour! 😎 tried a different bottle because i heard there was bottle variation. This was was much more lemony than the other, a little less carbonated.

A lovely Geuze! Great finishing beer. As good as the original version
about 3 years ago
Definitely over the hill but a cool tick that is good. Oxidized grapey nose. Great grape lambic flavor with aged acidity finish. After, linkers some earthy funk

Lambic Vin Jaune / La Vie Est Belge (2014)
Stellar! Almond, fig, and apricot. Wow. Especially unique and punchy up front
about 3 years ago
Foudre lambic but that lack of carbonation really hurts the beer. Complex earthiness. But the finish is so flat
about 3 years ago
Another home run cantillon. It's like they stripped the lemon from the 2020 belge bottle and dialed down the carb do get a lively woody complex and very lightly funky loon.

Nice grapes, balanced sweet and slightly funky finish. Great end to the event
about 3 years ago
Richer, earthier than usual cantillon from my experience. The grape is the most forward of the bunch tasted here.
Cedar woodiness expressing along with a lemony forward grape character from the wine when tasted side by side (by this I mean the wine has a lemony component distinct from std cantillon profile). The woodiness here is much more prominent than most loons

2015 sticker. Perfectly blend of early funk and jolly rancher cherry fruitiness

2018. After it sat for 10 min, ended up being one of the best single bottles of Saint lam I’ve ever drank
almost 5 years ago
2011 sticker. One of my favorite loons. I hope they bring this one back soon.

2029. Burst of stone fruit flavor coats the mouth. Fresh, soft and so well rounded.
