Right at that point where a nudge more would make it too much. Whiskey is prominent yet balanced. Subtle peat, hint of smoke. Slight zest citrus backbone. Nice!

Bon 20è le Vices.Quelle chance de pouvoir goûter à cette bière pour la 4ème fois. Quel évènement! Pairing avec le whiskey. Je dois avouer qu’elle était moins bonne qu’en 2022. Même bouteille, moins d’expression de cassonade, érable et whiskey. Mais tsais!

This is really complex and hard. Whiskey barrel is pretty much overriding but not everything. Lots of citrus peel and still lambic to taste. Medium sourness and tartness, smooth vanilla and lingering dryness. Very nice one.

(French) Whiskey BA gueuze; spicy, heavy oak, mild bitter finish, and an excellent counterpoint to make of the softer gueuzes also on the table. Just a fun, memorable experiment. Big 👍.

Lovely! The gueuze takes most of the space but the Whisky really adds a boost, loads of vanilla and oak on the nose, a little toffee and caramel touch on the palate (Werter's Originals), oak... nice warm notes really working nicely with the base

EB Quintessence Trip April 16-19. Wow! I had my doubts but the whiskey character on this one is amazing. Nothing too intense but enough to add another level of depth to an already amazing gueuze.
