Bittersweet funk and a ton of mineral. Mouthfeel is stunning. Glorious overall.

Suede soaked in cognac & v. slightly sweetened lime juice for months on the nose; taste is lactic, oaky, tart, funky & peppery, but with gummy orange & a soft spirit warmth aiding accessibility; then v bitter orange, tobacco tannins, brett funk & cognac.

Double milestone celebration today so decided to crack this open! Quite still for a new bottle, funk is also subdued but maybe due to the cognac barrels? Still getting a lot of complexity with gummy orange, fresh lime, & some pepper as well when it warms.

Bijna 2 jaar in de fles.

Beau moment.

Bonne acidité, petite pointe acétique. Finale sur le cognac, toujours bien dosé. Boisée, un peu terreuse. Le côté fromagé et funky ressort éventuellement. Effervescence faible. Vraiment intéressante! Merci Carole-Anne R.!

Oaky tannic funk, plenty of acidity, subtle vinegar, with a balanced and nuanced sweetness leading into a dry finish 🖤🍻🤘
