Malt Does More

Wonderful heady pour, creamy mouthfeel. Rhubarb and mildly dank funk on the nose. Palate is modestly tart, still some nice rhubarb presence along with a substrate of sour overripe lemon. Finish is a bit dry. Nicest bottle of the batch I bought of 2018.

Paired with home made rhubarb pie. Loved it but didn’t really get a lot of rhubarb influence (even before trying the pie). Base beer had wonderful funk and depth. Probably wouldn’t buy it again. Would instead go for Fou foune or a simple gueuze.
