Lõhn on jätkuvalt äge, happelisem kui ma mäletan, puuviljane, kuiv, vürtsikas. Jätkuvalt äge, aga jah, hape on veits tugev.

15 avril. Salle Ogivale Tasting Moeder. Francis se familiarise avec le Jaune. Estique que c’est bon. Le curry, les noix, le cheese. Want more. Le Pairing avec le Vin Jaune était plus que parfait.

It improved since bottling, very expressive this time, getting closer to a 2016 profile with loads of walnut oil but still with that Chateau Chalon finesse to it. Expressive but delicate. This beer will always be my GOAT, can only rank the vintages.

EB Quintessence Trip April 16-19. Curry, walnuts and funk. Very nice! Wine was close to a perfect 5.

4.55. 2020 should not be compared with Vin jaune 2012😂.

EB Quintessence Trip April 16-19. Life is indeed Belgian. Curry/walnut-notes are very dominant, almost vulgar, but I must confess I still love it. Mind blowing now but will be even better and definitely more elegant with some age.

What an incredible setting for an incredible tasting! Right on/by Grand Place. Excellent lambic & wine throughout. La Vie Est Belge 2020 - a new blend - is a little underwhelming relative to other blends. The Vin Jaune pairing outclassed it handily.

Not as much vin jaune character as 2019/2104 bottles. Probably very nice with a larger pour than just a tasting

Crazy complex. Not even close to the bottle i had yesterday. Earthy, raisin, defined sweetness in a great way

This bottle is amazing. Wow. I don’t remember liking this nearly as much as I do now—I guess my tastes have changed? This is fantastic and the wine is as well.

Wine : Wow. Amazing nutty toasty sherry aroma. Toffee and caramel. Flavor more tart. Much more a dinner wine than dessert. Surprising. But lovely toasty notes. Beer : nice tartness with the dry toasty finish. Not as powerful as the wine. More elegant.

This beer is very different when drinking with Vin Jaune

Smooth, sweet, still one of the most interesting lambics from a flavor profile standpoint

Beer #4 during today’s “Into the Wine” tasting conducted by Moeder Lambic & Cantillon in Salle Ogivale at Hotel de Ville on Grand Place in Brussels. What an amazing experience!

Un peu moins explosif que dans mes souvenirs de 2016. Très bon, équilibre dingue. Noix délicate. 4,50
