Gueuze Loerik (2019)

Lambic - Gueuze

Cantillon Loerik, or 'Lazy Boy' is a blend of one, two and three year-old lambics that creates a second fermentation in the bottle. Loerik, however, takes its sweet time... for some unknown reason, it just doesn't referment like a regular Cantillon Gueuze. But with time, the yeasts gather themselves, and the beer re-ferments, and the result is an exceptionally complex and extremely rare beer. Bottling date : 15 October 2019

Smell with light honey, Brett & citrus. It’s smooth, lemony, slight spicy like mustard.

Funky Cantillon oak on the nose. Bright and tart, slightly lingering to a touch bitter finish. So glad I got to try this

FLN Zwanze Day. Far superior to the original batch. This actually has carb and so much less unpleasant funk compared to the OG.

Говорят редкий... Октябрь 2019... Я бы сказал тонкий, деликатный... На любителя. Карбо ноль.

Starting off with the really good stuff so that I’m enjoying it with a clear palate. Can’t say this is all that different from other Cantillon geuze I’ve had but when talking about such beer that’s never a bad thing. Deliciously tart and complex as always

This might be the funkiest Cantillon lambics I've ever had, and the lack of carb drives that home. There's tons of leather and horseblanket filled funk that goes through both the nose and the palate. Very faint citrus notes on the back Unbelievable.

Happy Easter. Carbonation is lower than regular gueuze. Opened up pleasantly over time.

❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Eddie N. this is a big tick! Teeny tiny bit of bubbles here, looks like this lazy lam is actually doing some work. Big aged hop bite and Classic Gueuze funk. Slight sweetness, very smooth drinkin'.
