LCi. Rainy day mono blend tasting. Used base Boon Geuze as a reference while sampling the 4 mono vats. The batches were brewed in ‘14-‘15, all corked in ‘16, maturing in cellar since ‘17. - Mono Blend? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

Spicy, oaky, a bit smokey, stone fruits. More acid and wood than VAT 91. Still intense after 8 years.

Mild tartness with elegant woody, herbal, spicy, apple like fruity aroma. Clear golden color. No sweetness and bitterness. Strong carbonation, medium body. Refreshing mouthfeel. Five years aging would make the rounded character. Excellent!

Clear copper-ish golden, funky sour notes clove & aged oak aromas, funky sour clove w/mild bitterness that grows joined L8r by an oak easiness & spice all blend on lite slimy feel

"This Oude Geuze is full-bodied, complex and has notes of spices and smokiness as a result of the oak foeder. The oak cask clearly positively contributes to the Lambic aroma. Brewed on 11/16/2014, bottled on 12/16/2016." Very oaky, moderately funky.

Even more fruity than 91: "a lambic that poses as red wine", as one said. Well balanced, tasty and with a strong tinge of bitterness at the end.

Jak ten czas leci, to juz ma 6 lat! I bo ja wiem, czy jakos specjalnie szlachetnie sie starzeje? Chyba nie, bo niby pyszka, ale nabralo takiej tanicznej i nieco cierpkiej goryczki czy posmaku, ktory mi nie do konca pasuje. Wiecej tez nut drewnianych

Мягкая кислотная едкость с цитрусами и фермой, ненавязчивая бочка, сухо и гастрономично. Со временем, кажется, растерял ряд вкусовых нот, сосредоточившись на базовых тонах, и мало что приобрёл в плане глубины и насыщенности. Хорош, но эйджинг не играет.

#2016 #propperGlassware #forTheBadge Pours a reddish orange color. Careful with the sediment! The sour, light funky lambic nose. Slight tart/sourness, little Oakley and a faint smoke influence.
