Greatly aged. Vibrant, acidic, vinous, vinegar, grapes, refreshing. Thanx Michael C.

Belgian trip: Good aroma of semi-ripe apricot. However, young fruit in the taste, more acidic than I like. Needs some ageing to evolve.

Belgian trip: Haven't tasted the Zwanze version & it truly works quite nice the pepper with lambic, even though I'm not into spicy things. I liked that pepper is not overwhelming & I could get the lambic character. Citrusy, zesty, dry, tart, funk. 4.35⬆️

Belgium trip: By far the biggest surprise as this bottle came out of the blue, supposed sold out. The original in original glasses! The surprise was bigger when we opened it. It had carbonation & the coffee was still there. Of course, it's oxidized,but...

Belgium trip: I was impressed by the variant 2021, but this 2023 was just ok. Nothing too punchy. 4.15⬆️

Belgium trip: I didn't like this one. Smelled like a bad natural wine with a lot of leather-like aroma. Taste was resinous & dry.

Belgium trip: This was nice. Lot of orange & citrus, bittersweet & sour, wood notes too. 4.15⬆️

Back to back with 2022. The 2020 was more rounded & better than the previous time opened. 4.35⬆️

Back to back with 2020. Tasted more vibrant fruit in this one, but it was more tart & vanilla almost unnoticed.

The night was long & shifting places. Sharing another lambic, this time a white-wine forward one. Not my cup of tea, but still good & refreshing.

Time to break so much sweetness. Second time this. Nice red wine forward lambic with medium acidity.

Citrus, wood notes, vinous, little funk, oaky, sour, but also kinda sweet. Very nice! 4.40

It has aged really well. Good carbonation, abundance of semi-ripe apricot on the nose, tart & little sour, funky, dry. Very nice.4.40

Coast to coast to 2018 & surprisingly not as good. First & foremost an oily essence was floating over the fruits most of the time in the aroma. Vanilla was barely identifiable, while it was quite more acidic than its predecessor.

Last WKD great share. Surprisingly better than the fresher batch of 2020. You still could smell the vanilla, very nice fruit presence, moderate acidity, rounded overall.

Quite interesting white-grape lambic. Complex nose of dusty white grape skins, lemon zest & grapefruit juice. Musty with moderate funk. Vinous taste. Tart with balanced acidity in the taste, oaky with a dry finish. 4.35⬆️

Vigneronne is always great. Vibrant nose, white grapes, vinous, funky, earthy, slight lemony. Sour taste, dry finish. Perhaps, a bit sharp now, but as I said liked a lot. 4.40⬇️

Last weekend share. Intense apricot aroma, even peachy, jam-like. Kinda sharp sour in the taste, but still great imo.

Another one from the last weekend tasting. Another white wine lambic. It has all the characteristics of GB such as herbaceous & citrus notes, apple & acidity. Some stone fruits too. Kinda sweet. Nice. 4.40⬇️

Some balsamic notes in the aroma, tart, but medium sourness in the taste, lots of cherries in the taste. Pretty good, thanx to Michael C. 4.30⬆️

Zwanze Day: Ain't keen on elderflower, but Mamouche is one of its own. Full of EF, floral & lemon notes, funky, herbal, sour, dry, crispy & refreshing. 4.30⬆️

Zwanze Day: Racine is quite characterized by these grapes, but again not my cap of tea.

50 Degrees N - 4 Degrees E (2020) (Cognac)
Zwanze Day: Cognac barrel is obvious on the nose, funky, earthy, taste is acidic with dry finish.

Zwanze Day: The highlight of all lambic tasted this weekend. The most rounded & rich. 4.60⬆️

Zwanze Day: Wasn't impressed as with batch #1 back in the days. Good berries presence along with funk character, but didn't get the vanilla & found the flavour more acidic than expected.

Zwanze Day: Aunis is one of my favourite Cantillon ever, but this one was way too acidic in the taste. Dissapointed

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: Very unique. Didn't find it bad at all. Quite citrusy & zesty, orange peel, astringent & tart. Perhaps, lambic character is a bit understated, but it's still tasty.

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: Funky, citrusy, light musty, old geuze, soft taste.

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: Red grapes, tannic, funk. Taste of red wine, some berries, tart, oaky, dry finish. 4.35⬆️

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: Tasted twice, but not my cap of tea. Full of vinsanto wine character, dried white grapes, oak, funky, super dry mouthfeel & finish.

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: Tasted twice. White grapes, lemon on the nose. Mineral, funk in the taste except white grapes, tart enough, citrusy dry finish. Not a fan of white wines, but this was perhaps the most acceptable for my taste.

Zwanze Day @ Hoppy Pub: v2019 - Vinous, full of white grapes, tart without being acidic, nice mouthfeel, refreshing. One of the best of ZD lineup.

Still best Founders. This time against Espresso & CBS '19. I 'll lower a bit my rating to 4.40⬆️.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2019)
This time tasted against KBS Espresso & Maple Mackinac. I would place it between the variants. It has better mouthfeel than Espresso & kinda more complex taste. However, Espresso has quite more intense aroma. 4.15⬆️

For some reason I'd forgotten to rate it the 1st time. This time against Mackinac & CBS '19. Intense espresso aroma, dark chocolate in the taste after the coffee, bitter, creamy but the body to the thin side. Nice next to CBS 4.15⬆️

Lovely break between big stouts. Tasted again after 1,5 years & it's well improved, apparently more rounded, full of apricot. Keep my initial rating.

Beer Geek Fudgesicle BA Rye Whiskey
Really fudgy aroma, big hits of vanilla, toffee. Taste has some dark fruits too, with a touch of spiceness from the rye. However, the body is light & I don't get much of the wood. Tasty enough though. 4.30

Best KBS imo. Such a wonderful blend of coffee, chocolate & maple. So fudgy & rich with a creamy mouthfeel. Good hit of the booze when it warms up. Long-lasting coffee & chocolate aftertaste. Really enjoyed.

One of my favourite Cantillon again after a long time. 2020 is quite acidic & carbonation was a bit high, but still pure apricot pleasure. Perhaps, needs more time in the bottle. ⬇️4.40

Intense espresso, roasty, dark chocolate, creamy, but not full-bodied, some barrel notes but bourbon isn't that present. Nice

What you read in the description, it's what you get. Ripe pineapple, candied fruit, sweet tropicals. Strata is obvious. Some sweet citrus notes & a bit herbal too, but still smooth. Good mouthfeel & it stands really well.

Oh man, the 2020 version is super charged with fruit, even more aromatic & tasty. Gimme more, thanx Michael C.
