Harambe has spoken and he said "let there be pepper". There is pepper alright. It jumps at you out of the glass. The sip is super spicy up front (not pepper, but peppers), but then the finish has a spice like fresh ginger. Perfect food beer!

All too happy to return to Zwanze for the first time in too long. This year's version has huge pepper on the nose, and lemon taste that wavers between legit and detergent. Pic generously donated by Andrew D. because I forgot to take one

This is incredible, beautiful peppery notes with a touch of heat and a touch of herbal notes. I know I sound pretentious saying all of this.

Did not love this. I hate pepper in all contexts though. It’s got a strong bite of pepper on the nose and the finish is a bit bitter. Lemon and herbal notes throughout. However, I can see how this pairs well with food and I believe it’s well executed.

Lots going on here. Black pepper works well. I got a lot of floral flavour. Not sure if that’s the black pepper, something else or just me. Very nice lambic with a twist

Très réussi, énorme aromatique avec une longueur dingue. Le poivre vert, presque végétal est extrêmement présent. Bière à déguster, et probablement à jouer en accord met/bière !

LCI from yesterday. Peppery. Grapefruit tartness. Paired well withbtge nibbles- great slab of cheese.

LCI hier. Le clou de la soirée ! J'avais du mal à imaginer ce que cette version pourrait donner et je suis resté scotché 😮 Ça matche tellement bien, et quelle durée ! Elle appelle à grands cris des accords mets/bières 🦍🌋

Wow! Ultra aromatic pepper scent, mix of green, pink & white peppers, w/ a herbal backdrop. Some citrus, mild dry tartness, floral finish that reminds to that of the pink pepper husk. Just great!

En la línea de las Cantillon modernas, tiene menos funk y acidez que los modelos clásicos, pero muy buen equilibrio entre adjuntos (aquí, pimienta) y cerveza. En todo caso, es elegante, especial y muy bebestible

A delight of complex flavours. Citrus fruits with a healthy funk as well as the headline black pepper. It really works.
