Aging like a champ. Full bodied, rich and smooth as hell. Chocolate, cherry and smokey notes to it. Would be great with a cigar. Maybe next time.

The smoothness on this is impressive. Possibly slightly muted, but dangerously drinkable.

(2d ago) CBCC-in-absentia, Day Five - Pelican Edition. Also celebrating a finished 1F 1/2 bath. Knocked a tad off; the fourth year aging was probably just a bit too much. But the complexity, smoothness, and richness are the envy of the imp stout set.

Bottled 20/12/2016. It's amazing how this beer has developed. Big roasty umami bomb. Great texture and mouthfeel. Lingers long on the palate

Not as delicious as it once was. While still very good, alas, time has not been as kind to this beer as it has other beers in my cellar. A lot of the rich, malty, roasty, velvety, chocolate & stone fruit have faded. Still, it’s quite delicious.

Tastes way better than I remembered. Chocolate is more pronounced. Way smoother aswell. Minimal roastiness on the finish.

Past the prime but still proof some beers just age well.

One day away from being 59 months, bottled 11/24/15. Might be oldest beer in the fridge, held up very well, super rich and chewy. Nutty.

Black, thick motor oil-like pour. Bubbly, dark brown head. Nose of roasted malt, dark chocolate. Tastes like brownie batter, black licorice. Slight ash on the finish.

Happy day 3 of Beersmas. I can’t find a year on this so estimating. Big smell when poured and still big taste. Aged well. Big, chewy, dark stout, no head. Nice night cap.

I had 3 of these. Not sure why I sat on them because they are delicious!

2016’s are really tasty right now! Super fudgy and the roasted bitterness has died off quite a bit. It’s a completely different beer at 4+ years old in a good way for me at least. Thanks for the bottle Steve B.

Cellared 4 years and 2 months. Wow! Very nice surprise. Strong choc flavor at this point

Last one. Greatness. Why did they stop making this beer? One of the best.

Maybe a bit past prime, but still awesome. Starting to develop some nice molasses and raisin character.

Запивал им водку. Копченый и слишком много полена во вкусе

2016 variety has was ages. Molasses with a roasty chocolate finish. Starts smooth but still has a little boozy kick on the finish.

Thanks Jermey! It’s still pretty damn good! I’d say if your sitting on this one, drink it now!

decent but 2014 took the show. 7yr is current sweet spot imo.

En av de allra bästa. Hälften till mig och hälften till frugan. Cirka.

Has not held up in five years. There's no booze and there's barely any chocolate. Still it's not terrible.
